CORPUS - La bulle

As night deepens, a giant transparent bubble quietly descends onto the seaside lawn. When the lights come on, a silent and captivating one-man show begins. The lonely dreamer Pierrot, uses diverse forms such as mime, dance, text and painting to lead us into his imaginative dream world. He sometimes dances freely between planets, and sometimes draws childlike smiling faces, trying to establish contact with the outside world. When emotions reach a climax, the entire bubble instantly transforms into his exclusive rave space. However, after the revelry, what awaits him is endless satisfaction, or deeper loss? Canadian theatre company CORPUS cleverly blends physical movement and stage imagery with their signature surreal humour, bringing a unique visual feast to the audience. Artistic Director David Danzon transforms himself into the elegant and childlike Pierrot, performing multiple roles and scenes in just one hour, gently touching the softest corner of your heart through a transparent film, and under the quiet starry sky, surrounding this small planet, embarking on a dreamlike journey full of laughter and tears together. 3. Outdoor Art Installation

Alex Schweder and Ward Shelley - Pollinator

A limited-time landmark, bringing together diverse artists in residence, an unprecedented seaside creative fusion experiment invites you to witness it together. During the WestK FunFest, an eye-catching landmark will appear on the Harbourside Lawn. It resembles both a temporary building and a large-scale art installation, and upon closer inspection, you will discover a space full of surprises: local artists from different fields live and create together here. This project, called "performance architecture", is co-curated by American artists Alex Schweder and Ward Shelley, and will last for 5 weeks from March 21st (Friday). At that time, local artists from different backgrounds will be divided into groups and take turns to stay for a few days, living with Alex Schweder and Ward Shelley for a short period. Each artist will have their individual pods, and while taking care of each other's daily needs, they will also visit each other in unique ways, exchanging and creating with other residents. The audience will have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of their creative process, and even enjoy wonderful performances, engaging in a wonderful interaction with the artists. Schweder and Shelley have collaborated on several performance architectures around the world, exploring the relationship between people and space in interesting ways. This time, they come to Hong Kong for the first time, using unconventional ideas to construct this unprecedented work, and boldly imagine with you the infinite possibilities of art dissemination, exchange and connection. During their residency, they will hold occasional performances and activities in the Art Park. Audiences can observe the residents' exchanges and witness the fusion of creative experiments up close. The line-up of performers will be announced later.

5. Workshop

A Fundamental Journey - The Neutral Mask Workshop

Returning to the essence of the body, rediscovering the sincerity and purity of performance. David Danzon, artistic director and performer of the Canadian theatre company CORPUS, in addition to performing his solo mime show La bulle in Hong Kong, will also personally lead a workshop. He will use the "neutral mask" to help performers trace back to the origin of performance and rediscover that sincerity and purity. Whether you want to improve your physical expression, explore your inner self, or get rid of self-criticism during creation or performance, you can gain inspiration from the neutral mask. The neutral mask was designed by the famous contemporary drama master Jacques Lecoq. This mask, which does not have any expression or personality, aims to train the performer's body and help them convey emotions honestly and effectively. When the mask covers facial expressions, the performer can reconnect with their body and mind, and then enter a state of complete listening, demonstrating powerful and authentic emotions on stage with simple and effective body language. The workshop is suitable for actors, dancers, clowns and all kinds of professional performers. "The Neutral Mask Workshop" details & ticketing
