Kenny Kim-fung Leung - Anchored in Memory
The immersive interactive theatre "Anchored in Memory" combines dance and music, leading the audience into the life and memories of the boat people of Aberdeen. This theatre starts from the stories of Hong Kong fishermen in the past, and reproduces the real life of boat people through dance, live music, sound installations and text.
Hong Kong dance artist Kenny Kim-fung Leung's award-winning work "Anchored in Memory" at "Arts Impact 2024" is inspired by the oral history, true stories and culture of the Aberdeen boat people. Audiences will connect with the past of the boat people in the Art Park, and enjoy the performers' reinterpretation of the boat people's stories under the sunset of the Victoria Harbour coastline. This programme is free to participate in, no registration is required, places are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please gather at the Secret Garden entrance 10 minutes before the start of the event.
